I hope you are doing well and having a wonderful new year so far! I'm excited to be back hanging out with you here and beginning 2021 together! :) I wanted to share with you a couple of tips for getting back into a rhythm or routine with healthy living as I have been recalibrating myself after the holidays! Less is More. When it comes to creating and sustaining new habits, taking on less at one time as we begin the new year and season will normally take us further. I realized I may have been a little over ambitious myself when plugging action steps into my new planner this month. About halfway through, I'm already realizing that I need to give myself grace and remember that it's okay to grow and go slow. These new habits whether around movement, sleep, food, attitude, etc. aren't just something we want to sustain for a month or two but rather the rest of our lives! I recommend focusing on 1 to 3 new habits. Then, whenever those become second nature, it's easy to habit stack with adding in something new. So, if you have outlined 10 or so goals like me for month one of this new year. I invite you to really consider what the most important 3 are to begin with. Remember, we are going for sustainability and longevity here! :) Give yourself grace for whatever season you're in or however much you have or have not accomplished so far. This will enable you to continue moving forward on a healthier foot— as grace will always take you further than guilt. Celebrate every single win! Taking vitamins, pausing to take a deep breath, finishing a bottle of water… the small things are the BIG things. Think about the impact of doing even just those 3 things consistently, long-term. We are doing this together! I am here to cheer you on and serve you as a health coach and provide the additional support and personalized accountability needed to help get you to where you want to go! Do you feel like this is your time? Let's chat! :)
Cheering you on,
Heather
