Hey girl! I'm here to tell you about a handful of my favorite snacks or “mini meals” to take with you on the go! 💃🏻 It's super important to keep our blood sugar regulated and not get to a point of "hangry". Here are just a few reasons why: Balanced blood sugar = energy Balanced blood sugar = better mood Balanced blood sugar = better hormone function Balanced blood sugar = clearer thinking Balanced blood sugar = healthier weight In the busy world we live in, it can be easy to skip a meal or go too long in between meals without properly fueling. So, it's important to meal prep for these moments and create little snacks or mini-meals for ourselves to keep our blood sugar balanced so that we don't just dash through our day forgetting to nourish. 🌱 Let's nourish our bodies in a thoughtful way to keep everything operating smoothly! I like to call these little mini meals my “purse snacks” 👜✨☺️ I guess however big your purse is may depend on how many snacks you can fit, haha! But, purse or no purse, it is great to think ahead when planning for your days and to bring snacks and “mini meals" with you to give you clean fuel! I saw a little slogan that the restaurant Basic Kitchen has that I just loved: “Cleaner fuel = longer adventures” ☀️ Other places you could stash some nutritious + delicious snacks are: your desk drawer at work, your backpack, or even your overnight bag if you are traveling! ✈️ Remember, future you loves past meal prep! 😇

Here are a few of my favorite go-to snacks / mini-meals to have on the go:
Grass-fed beef sticks - Some good brands are Archer, Chomps, Thrive Market, and New Primal! I usually find Archer and Chomps at Costco which are a great deal! Usually it's easy to just grab a carb on the go, but it's really important to grab some protein and healthy fats too to keep your blood sugar balanced! Eating just carbs will have you on a blood sugar roller coaster as your body will use the sugar, and then crave more… starting a cravings cycle and leading to less consistent energy. Grass-fed beef sticks are an awesome, clean source of protein that can live in your purse for a long time without going bad! 😉
Fruit and veggie pouches / smoothie pouches - We stock up on the organic apple sauce and the organic fruit and veggie packs from Costco! I've also had some Mamma Chia fruit pouches lately which is a grown-up version of apple sauce that packs some fiber and superfood nutrients from chia seeds! You could also try Noka who makes superfood smoothies that come in little pouches that also have plant-based protein, vitamins, and minerals too! 🍓 I know Thrive Market carries this brand for a discounted price, and you can always use my link to get 40% off your first order!
Protein bars - Two brands of protein bars I will go to sometimes are MacroBar or Aloha! The Oatmeal Chocolate Chip MacroBar is my favorite flavor 🍪, and the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Aloha bar is my flavor of choice from their line. Whole Foods and Sprouts as well as some other grocery stores carry these in addition to Thrive Market! I like to stock up when they are on sale!
Larabars - These nut and seed bars are super delicious and super clean as they are made with extremely simple ingredients! I'm definitely a blueberry muffin girl and love that flavor! 🫐 They have A LOT of delicious flavors to choose from!!
Nuts and seeds - Nuts and seeds are pretty incredible because most of them contain healthy fats, some protein, and some carbs… which is basically the package deal! Choose your favorite nuts or make a homemade trail mix with a little fruit or a few dark chocolate chips to keep with you while you are running errands or at work!
